Arts and Crafts - Anywhere Learning Lessons
Pre-K through Elementary
Your student will practice reading and math skills as they make their own play-doh with Alura del Duca (Howard). Once they have their own play-doh, students will get a chance to practice creating different shapes like parallelograms, pentagons, cones and cylinders.
In this bilingual P.E. class, your student will get to do an ‘Easy, Medium, Hard’ workout. They’ll also get to make their own gym equipment via the creative use of a bean bag. Grab an old sock and some beans or rice and come prepared. Kathy Pauck is a teacher at Howard Elementary in the Medford School District--Medford, Oregon.
Have your student learn with Zoey Boyles (Oak Grove Elementary) in this episode which is jam packed with fun activities for your learner. Students will listen to books, do some painting, learn a math game and even some jokes.

DESCRIPTION: This episode will help students practice skills including identifying parts of a book and comprehension - all while reading about unicorns. Students will also be guided through a craft revolved around kindness.
Join Britt Zimmerman & Connor Reese from The Learning Loft Preschool (at Kid Time Children’s Discovery Museum) to teach your student about a world of color as "Miss Britt" and "Teacher Connor" celebrate Color Day. Students will take part in a cognitive learning experience, practicing skills like color mixing - as well as reading and singing.

DESCRIPTION: In this episode, students will learn how to use drawing as a form of mindfulness. Mrs. Boyles will teach the fun and creative practice of Zentangle. Draw along with her by grabbing a black marker and a piece of paper. Then she will lead students in a meditation to help students focus on their breath.

DESCRIPTION: In this interactive episode, students will practice their colors - starting with learning sign language for the colors of the rainbow. Students will learn a fun song and practice noticing colors on foods and around them. Optional tools to create their own game includes a plate, paper clip, paper and markers/crayons.

DESCRIPTION: Practice your double vowel sounds in this episode by going on a vowel round-up. Students will also get to make their own vowel book. Optional: Get some paper, a brown paper bag, stapler and a pen to make your own vowel book.

Optional tools include paper, grocery store ad, glue stick, marker and stapler. Students will practice skills writing, using scissors and glueing when they paste their favorite foods in their own book.
Students will explore informational texts for information about ladybugs. They will practice charting what they know, wonder and have learned. Students will learn about ladybugs, practice researching skills and make their own ladybug craft.

They will learn how to spot shapes in everyday life. They’ll also compare shapes by understanding their attributes including sides and corners. This episode is in Spanish.
