Your student will practice writing numbers and counting items under 20. Then they’ll count along with Katie Cutsforth (Jacksonville) all the way to 100 by tens.

Kristen Robinson of Kennedy Elementary School, & Katie Cutsforth of Jacksonville Elementary, in this episode teach students to tap into their inner ninjas as they learn to identify parts of a book including the title, author and illustrator. Students will practice addition and subtraction using movement with ‘Ninja Math.’ Plus, they will use a toilet paper roll to create their own ninja.

Your student will practice reading and math skills as they make their own play-doh with Alura del Duca (Howard). Once they have their own play-doh, students will get a chance to practice creating different shapes like parallelograms, pentagons, cones and cylinders.

Kristen Robinson of Kennedy Elementary School leads students in practice of early math skills, including creating addition equations within ten. They will also use items they can find around the house to determine which amounts are greater than and less than.

Katie Custforth, teacher at Jacksonville Elementary School, in this episode engages student in fun activities relating to reinforcing vowels, measuring and counting. Your student will practice using manipulative to make equations. They will also get a chance to measure items to determine whether what is bigger and smaller.

In the first of two episodes, Mrs. Robertson (Washington Elementary) will show students several ways to add numbers. That includes counting using manipulatives, drawing pictures, using number grids, ten frames and more. Don’t forget to catch part 2 tomorrow.

Gloria Pereyra-Robertson, Washington Elementary School, in this Multiple Ways to Add Part 2 episode leads students in learning even more ways to add numbers. This lesson will focus on how to use skills like mental math, counting on, counting out loud and using number lines. This episode can be viewed independently of part 1.

Katie Cutsforth, teacher at Jacksonville Elementary, makes math fun in this episode. Mrs. Cutsforth will show students several games to make counting and addition fun. So, have your kids grab their plastic Easter eggs, and an egg carton, and get ready to add!

Kim Neiswanger, teacher at Ruch Outdoor Community School, has students grab their legos and get ready to have fun with fractions. In this episode, your student will learn several games to make learning and practicing fractions enjoyable. Students will learn how to identify 1/2 and 1/4 in everyday objects - including foods, legos and paper.

Have your student learn with Zoey Boyles (Oak Grove Elementary) in this episode which is jam packed with fun activities for your learner. Students will listen to books, do some painting, learn a math game and even some jokes.

TEACHER: Christian Sicairos/Howard Elementary SchoolDESCRIPTION: This bilingual episode combines math and movement. Your student will have fun practicing counting to 100 and by 10s. They won’t even realize they’re learning as the count jumping jacks, toe touches and watch basketball tricks. This episode includes English and Spanish.
