Ballet Folklórico Ritmo Alegre is a local Mexican folk dance troupe that performs colorful traditional dances from many states and regions of Mexico. It is known for the authenticity and beauty of its costumes and the variety of regional dances presented. The majority of the dancers are Hispanic children and youth. Ritmo Alegre dancers perform in many local parades and festivals, including the OSF Green Show, Art in Bloom and Jackson County Fair.

The group’s Artistic Director and Lead Instructor study at the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City each summer. Classes are offered for all ages at the group’s studio located in the Central Medford High School building.
